Shane Wiskus
Shane Wiskus is an American engineer and roboticist. He is known for his work on developing prosthetic limbs and robotic devices. Wiskus was born in 1983 in St. Louis, Missouri. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri in 2006. He then went on to earn a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Stanford University in 2008. After graduating from Stanford, Wiskus worked as a research engineer at the University of California, Berkeley. In 2012, he co-founded the company Ekso Bionics, which develops exoskeletons for people with disabilities. Wiskus is also a member of the National Academy of Engineering.
